Stainless Steel 316H pipes are crafted from an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy that features a higher carbon content than 316L, typically ranging from 0.04% to 0.10%. The alloy consists of about 16% to 18% chromium, 10% to 14% nickel, and 2% to 3% molybdenum, which boosts its resistance to corrosion and creep. On the mechanical side, 316H provides greater tensile and yield strength at elevated temperatures, along with good ductility and excellent toughness. These characteristics make it perfect for high-temperature and pressure applications while ensuring structural integrity and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
